Dress Code

At Ormiston New Academy Sixth form, we believe that high standards of appearance create high standards of behaviour and conduct and as such, we enforce a dress code of smart and formal business wear. This creates a professional and hardworking ethos, which enables students to thrive academically.

NEW6 students are expected to wear:

• Smart trousers, skirt or dress
• Plain blouse or shirt – ties for men
• Plain jumper
• Blazer
• Smart shoes
• Culturally appropriate headwear
• If students are a Football or Basketball Academy student, the Football Academy/ Basketball academy tracksuit can be worn each day for both lessons and training sessions. 

The Following Are Not Considered Acceptable For Any Student:

• Jeans/leggings
• Short skirts/shorts
• Trainers/ Vans/ Converse
• Hoodies
• Low cut tops or bare midriffs
• Hats/caps
• Coats and other outerwear should not be worn in class/ Sixth Form Centre
