Open Events 2023 (for a September 2024 start)
Dear Parents/Carer
Ormiston NEW Academy is delighted to be able to announce open event dates. We will be welcoming future prospective students and their parents on Thursday 28th September and Saturday 30th September.
Children and their parents are invited to visit NEWA to gain a taste of life at the Academy and have the opportunity to tour the secondary school, meet our specialist teaching staff and get to know our wonderful students. This is a great opportunity to ask any questions and get to know the academy better. The events will involve a range of activities and information that children and adults can get involved in, so be sure to come and visit to experience the transformed and vibrant academy. You will also have the chance to meet the principal Mr Cooling who will gladly talk you through life at NEWA.
There is no need to book, simply turn up and we would be happy to show you round. Doors will open from 6pm on Thursday and 9am on Saturday.
Craig Cooling, who has been principal since 2019, has said that he is ‘immensely proud’ of what the academy has become.
“I’m driven to create an academic environment where students are proud to be a part of Ormiston NEW Academy and want to strive to be the best, it’ll continue when students go home and it’ll mature when they leave us and become fantastic, loved, motivated successful members of society.
