Ormiston New Academy proud of students’ GCSE accomplishments
Students and staff at Ormiston New Academy have come together to celebrate receiving a fantastic set of GCSE results this morning.
After two years of hard work and studying, students at the academy located on Marsh Lane and part of Ormiston Academies Trust, have shared their joy in taking home the well-deserved results.
The Year 11 cohort achieved particularly highly in subjects including in mathematics, art and health and social care.
The whole school community has come together today to mark the students’ achievements, hard work, and dedication, as they now prepare to take their next steps in education.
While all students have achieved well, some individual achievements include:
- Soumaya Benokba who secured four grade 9s in geography, biology, chemistry & physics, one grade 8 in mathematics, three grade 7s in English language, English literature and photography as well as a distinction in child development.
- Tristan Dunseath who successfully achieved one grade 9 in photography, six grade 8s in science, mathematics, history, geography and English literature, a grade 7 in English language and a grade 6 in classics.
- Adeena Usman who attained a grade 9 in English literature, a 9/8 in double science, a grade 8 in history, a grade 7 in geography, two grade 6s in English language and mathematics, a Distinction in health and social care and a Distinction* in business.
- Jemini Johnson who achieved two grade 9, one grade 8, one grade 7, two grade 6, one grade 5, a distinction and a distinction*
- Heavenly Jellinek who achieved two grade 8, five grade 7, a grade 6 and a grade 5
