Students celebrate A Level and post-16 results at Ormiston NEW Academy

Celebrations are taking place at Ormiston NEW Academy as students collect their A Level and post-16 results and look ahead to their next steps.

Sixth form students in our school are marking the culmination of two years of focused study, personal growth and ambition.

The students’ successes have enabled many to secure places at their chosen universities, on competitive apprenticeships, in further training and into employment, as they prepare to take the next steps in their education and careers.

Among the achievements being celebrated across the school, some standout successes include:

• Lillie who achieved two B’s, one C and two Merits. She will study Classical Civilisations at the University of Liverpool.
• Abbass who secured one B and two C’s. He will study Politics at Glasgow University.
• Charlie who received one B, one C and two Distinctions. He will study at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts.
• Simarpreet who secured a Distinction*, a Distinction and a C. He has secured a Finance Apprenticeship with the National Grid.
• Stephanie who achieved a Distinction*, a Distinction and a C. She will study Finance at Aston University.

Students also performed particularly well in health and social care, religious studies and business, achieving an average grade of C+ across these subjects and making significant progress from their starting points.
